RJ-45 Plug in Data Protector

The NETGARD or NX Series is a RJ45 plug in data protection platform used to protect computers, or peripheral equipment associated with popular data protocols such as DSL, POE, ISDN, 10/100BASET, and E1/T1.

APPLICATION:

NX1-** - The NX1 is an RJ45 series lightning protection device for UTP interfaces. This series protects in differential mode only and serves signal voltage levels of up to 5V. The maximum surge handling of the NX1 series is 100A, 10/1000µs as defined by Bellcore 1089. The NX1 is suitable for DSL, ISDN, E1/T1, 10/100 BaseT Ethernet

NX2-** - The NX2 series is designed to provide protection for STP applications. Protection is accomplished in both differential and common mode. All eight pins are protected line-to-line and line-to-ground. The maximum surge current handling of this device is 100A, 10/1000µs as defined by Bellcore 1089. This unit is useful for 10/100 BaseT and E1/T1 applications. These devices must be grounded for optimum performance.

NX3-** - The NX3 is designed for protection of E1/T1 applications. This device protects pins 1-2 & 4-5 in both differential and common modes and is designed for STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) applications. This three stage suppression circuit surge current rating is defined as 300A, 10/1000 µs per Bellcore 1089 and 3kA, 8x20µs per IEC 61000-4-5. External grounding is required for optimum performance.

NX4-** - The NX4-05 series is designed for STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) applications. This device protects in both differential and common line-to-line and line-to-ground modes. Each of the eight lines is protected with a three stage suppression circuit. The surge current rating of this device is 300A, 10/1000µs per Bellcore 1089 and 3kA, 8x20µs per IEC 61000-4-5. This device is useful in protecting 10/100BaseT, ISDN, DSL, E1/T1, ADSL, POE, and DDS applications. External grounding is required for optimum performance.

NX4-**-IG - The performance of the NX4-**-IG is identical to that of the The NX4-05 & NX4-60 series except the IG design provides internal electrical and surge isolation between shield and ground. The NX4-**-IG is designed for STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) applications. This device protects in both differential and common line-to-line and line-to-ground modes.
