TII 496 01 PGW JR. AC LINE& FAX/TELEPHONE
LINE TRANSIENT VOLTAGE SURGE SUPPRESSOR

With EMI/RFI Filter, Diagnostic Circuit & Status Indicator

UL LISTED

The TII 496-01PGW Jr. (Power Ground Window Junior) is designed to protect sensitive telephone equipment fax machines, modems and telephone answering machines from potentially damaging electrical transients and surges which may occur on the powerline and/or on the telephone line.

The TII 496-01 is comprised of two sections. The 120VAC, 1 phase, 50/60Hz; 15 Amp powerline protection section and the Solid State telephone line protection section.

The AC power protection section is a self restoring powerline surge suppressor incorporating solid state surge suppression elements, EMI/RFI noise filter and powerline monitoring status indicators. The green lamp on indicates proper wiring of the AC outlet and availability of surge protection. The red lamp on indicates error in the wiring or no protection available.

The solid state protection section is also a self restoring solid state surge suppressor incorporating necessary fusing elements in the event of power cross conditions. Grounding to this section is provided through the AC power socket where the unit is plugged.
