PB Series for Intercom/Speakers


PB modules are solid-state surge protectors for Intercom Extension Pairs. As a new alternative to the "OPX", our standard intercom surge protector, the PB adds fusing and a new component layout. These hybrid protectors are intended to be used in conjunction with the MGB ground rail and a standard M1-50 punch-down block. (See Technical Bulletin 2017 for installation.) The PB modules feature solid-state resettable fuses (PTCs) between the protected equipment and the over voltage clamping components. This unique design prevents problems with "All-Call" in the event of catastrophic surge protector failure.

PB CLN modules provide internal bridging and are intended for use on call-in circuits.
PB-SPK modules provide internal bridging and are intended for use on speaker circuits.

CAUTION: The hybrid design of this product includes series resistance. Do not place this product in service on any signal lines capable of supplying more than 150mA continuously.
